This smoothie is inspired by the ingredients that normally go into a carrot cake, one of my all time favourite sweet treats! I added in some greek yoghurt to make the smoothie creamy and I like to imagine this as the frosting without the calories, win win! I always go a bit over the top when making a smoothie, I like to keep adding things, so I have made a basic recipe to which you can add more ingredients depending on your tastes below. I have just bought some Chia seeds, I have never tried them before and so thought including them in this smoothie would be perfect to try some out!
I absolutely love how the evenings are drawing out, and summer is in our sights (touch wood - I do live in the UK). The summer months are perfect for smoothies and fresh fruit, I have decided to up my intake of fresh fruit and veg and try to live a more healthy lifestyle. During the years I've tried so many different diets, however this time I've decided to simply improve my diet and exercise. Of course, being a massive foodie, I'm not saying there won't be treats along the way!
